About Kawika (he/him)

Born and raised in Hawaii, I left home to study at the University of Puget Sound and have called Tacoma my home for over 17 years. I am a licensed mental health counselor in Washington State, and I offer online and in-person counseling to teens, young adults, and adults in the Tacoma and surrounding areas. 

I have experience with individuals (children, young adults, adults) and families on the following issues: sexual orientation, gender identity, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, personality disorders, trauma recovery, family issues, mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, anger management, domestic violence, substance addiction, parenting, sexuality, and spirituality. I earned my M.Ed. (Masters in Education) in mental health counseling from the University of Puget Sound in 2019. I have worked in university settings, elementary school settings, and community mental health agencies.
